Growing the Vision
Kanu 'ia was envisioned years ago. As a young family, we believed in sustainability. Our children learned to be outdoors, explore, and discover nature's beauty. They learned how to cultivate, plant, and give thanks for all that the 'aina (land) blessed us with. As we cared for the 'aina, we developed core values, rooted in appreciating nature. We learned to take only what was needed for healing, health, and food. Today Kanu 'Ia offers a remembrance of past memories, present offerings and future blessings.
The Practice
It takes discipline to learn a practice, and it takes practice to learn a discipline.
Whether it’s making medicine, or making delicious peach jam, we take our time to establish good habits, offer the best product, and deliver the vision. Our harvest practices are mindful of the process and the receiver, whether it be for ourselves, friends, or customers.
